As we eagerly prepare and plan to welcome our staff and students to the campus, you need to know that we will continue to follow COVID-19 related policies and procedures to onset a safe and productive school year insha Allah. We are working closely with the ISB Healthy Task Force and the ISB Council to ensure the safety of our staff and students.
The following are some of the guidelines we will follow. Please note that this is a continually evolving list that will be updated based on the current status of the pandemic:
- Masks should be worn at all times, unless if the students are reciting
- Students will be seated 3ft apart in order to safeguard them from each other
- Each student will bring his/her own Quran
- Each student will have his/her own Quran Holder, and will carry it with themselves when they go to the teacher to recite
- Hand Sanitizers and Wipes will be available in the classrooms
- The classrooms will be cleaned and sanitized daily
- Students and teachers will have their temperatures checked daily in the morning
- No one, including parents, will be allowed inside classrooms during school hours. If a parent wishes to discuss anything with the teachers, they should request a meeting
- Anyone travelling internationally will be required to notify the School Administration and quarantine at home for 2 weeks
- Our school policies continue to include updated guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) about exposure, quarantine, symptomatic behavior, and positive cases
